Title: The topology of neural networks

Neural networks are the backbone of many modern technologies. However, much is still not understood about them. In this talk, I will explain how with certain architectures, a well-trained neural network affects the topology of the data set in a controlled way. This result was given by Naitzat, Zhitnikov, and Lin in 2020. Furthermore, I will present some ideas for future research based on the ideas in their paper.
